Went down to the boat at the weekend to de-winterise and fit all the bits I had bought or brought home to refurbish over the winter. Its always exciting walking along the footpath to the mooring , looking to see its still there and afloat. (My thanks to others on the moorings who have kept me posted over the winter storms.) Off with the covers and unzip the canopy, open the doors and see what has occurred. Bit of damp and some mold to clean up. Next is the start up ritual; sea cocks open, main electrical switch engaged , key in the ignition and first position; alarms sound and two good lights; next position ammeter off the scale so heaters are working, 10 seconds and then engine start. It jumped into life and we are good for a new season of cruising. Happy bunny.
