Hi does anyone know of a "bolt on" cleat that I can put on to the toe rail of my Jeanneau to tie the srings to? I have tired the one designed for Moody boats but would mean drilling another hole in the toe rail which I am reluctant to do. I have seen some boats with a cleat attached to the genoa sheet lead track but haven't seen them in any chandlery.

Any ideas welcome

If your toe rail already has holes in it an alternative is to attach a couple of climbing caribineers to these making sure that they are large enough to pass a rope through.

These particular items are handy to have onboard as they have a lot of uses.

YS Fittings (marketed by Holt) make an alloy one that bolts onto the toe rail. Send me a Private Message with your email address if you want a picture with the dimensions.

I'm not sure if this will be any different from the Moody one.

Pfeiffer Marine does good ones which get attached to the Genoa Track. They are then movable as well as removable. They come with an open track terminal to facilitate the removal option. Nice finish as well. Cost approx 30 GBP

.. but dont forget that the track is deigned to take most of the pull in the direction of the tracke - dont overload it a 'thwartships direction or it will distort.

Agree, but the angle of the spring is not much different from the Genoa Sheet when reaching....
