Spring Cleaning Finale
Today Tuesday 29th June 2010, Edge Of Time was returned to her natural element. Following a good old clean up and paint job, the topsides and superstructure still retain their original finish so all they required was a compound and polish, the anti foul was renewed and the propellers were refurbed, along with new cutless bearings, this being the only “mechanical” requirement, except for the anodes which are expected to need changing. The shafts are still in good condition after ten years of regular use, and were it not for the “ploughing” we have done the bearings would have lived a bit longer.
the bits were assembled and I got to work, everything went well and she was ready for the water in no time.
picked up and let down with the greatest care
and back where she belongs
