Definitely felt like spring was in the air today. Shame it's waited until September to put in an appearance!

Boat show for me tomorrow then I'm off for a few days so if this weather keeps up I shall head upstream, yayy!

Have just been past All Gold and Halcyon, but all looked quiet. There is indeed a big stream but it is enjoyable. A surprising number of rowing boats out - there is a small regatta in Staines today.

So nice to have sunshine!

Just fuelled up, £254 where it used to cost me £70 at this time of year, had a trip in Dreadnought Reach on a very muddy looking river - it must be going thorough its "self dredging" cycle"

Well, today was even better - what a superb day for the Dunkirk Veterans annual trip from Kingston to Weybridge on board some of the Dunkirk Little Ships for lunch with Weybridge Mariners. I believe some Chelsea Pensioners were there as well this year.

I spent most of the day moored up near Shepperton and had a pleasant lunch in Prezzo. Also heard an extremely rare event on the vhf - apparently the skipper of Oudrageous was actually up and about before noon although I only have Sue's word for this...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No use to me then, all that nasty oily stuff would clog up me poor old Sea Tiger.

I'll leave the Narrow Boaters to it then /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

He'll not see them for the smoke, mind you.... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yes it is true, made sure I got witneses at the marina who were equally surprised! Saw you moored up at Shepperton but nobody about, certainly was a great weekend to be out and about /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Headed down to Sunbury and had a good blow out at the Chinese for Sunday lunch.

Not been out much then this year Ian?

Filled Unwinder up a few weeks back and nearer £400, other than one trip to Limehouse, thats all been on the non tidal and I thought we'd been cutting down on our usage!!

If we had gone tidal it would have been twice as much.
We've been out as much as we could, BUT river conditions have been against us so much this summer.
It will be interesting when I tot up the number of nights spent on board and compare them with previous years.
