Anybody bought a new spray-hood in the last year or so? I should have thought length of boat was not significant, as it would affect materials, not labour (but supplier may not see it that way) - so cost, and length of boat, please. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

New spray hood, redesigned with added grab handle and heavier frame, about £1000 earlier this year. Thats on a 35 ft boat, so close to your size I would say.

This seems good... who did that for you?

I live a long way from the sea. My spray hood was wearing out along the top where you tend to hang onto it. My son-in-law suggested I use his sports car hood repairer, who quoted me £250 to replace it completely. But then told me there was nothing wrong with it and could fit a new matching strip [light blue] over where my hands had worn it out for £20. Last year I had the windows replaced for £50 and he said he would reuse those if I needed to have a completely new hood. So far with this fellow's help I've got at least another two years out of my spray hood for £70. That should be 3 as this year although a little grubby it will have nothing done to it. My suggestion is find a fellow who does sports car hoods if all you want is a match to a pattern.
