Genuinely asking for a friend/colleague! She is British, married to a Greek and wants to spend more than 90/180 in Greece with her husband while continuing to work in the UK as required. I know there is a registration document which would allow it while travelling with her husband but we can't find anything online. Can anyone point us in the right direction?

I don't know if this will help you, but a similar request has been asked on a canarian forum, scroll down to 180 days, Los Gigantes Message Board - Index

I'm not 100% certain but it sounds as if you are talking about the spouse travelling back to UK on their own and returning to Greece to join their other half. i.e. UK person with residence card not living in Greece on their own whilst Greek partner is abroad.

I'd need to check my notes as I was looking at rules wrt my own situation as an EU citizen, not a Greek citizen.

I'm pretty certain that my wife's residence card allows her to join me in Greece as well as travel with me into Greece. I've no idea how that works but suspect she would be asked where I was if travelling alone. They'd probably be happy if she said I was meeting her at the airport or OK if she gave them a Greek number to contact me.

I'm pretty certain I came across the permit for non-EU spouse with Greek partner and will see if I can find links. The process was almost identical to the one my wife used. I had to register my presence with local police before my wife could even start her application. A Greek citizen won't need to do that and make the process a little quicker.

I think there is general information here but I did have documents quoting specific regulations and sections mentioning requirements for spouse of Greek citizens.

I have a copy of the Greek Immigration Code for 2022 but my file was too large to attach here but did find the link below.

Immigration and Social Integration Code, Application Handbook

I think page 145 refers to spouse of a Greek national.

N.B.
A new rule last year requires a marriage licence that's recent, translated, certified and Apostilled. I had to get a new copy just before applying and used an official translator qualified to certify the translation. The Apostille will be carried out in UK by Foreign and Commonwealth Office. You don't need to use any online "helpful" companies who charge.:D

Of course this won't apply if your friend was married in Greece.

I'll post a link the the Greek Immigration Code for 2022 as the file is too big to attach here. I think page 145 refers to spouse of a Greek national.

That looks like a great link and I’ve forwarded it on as I’m working tonight and can’t go through it all. Thanks
