Since my home port is in a small island, with just one main dock, but the place is rather well known also by superyachts folks, I got used to see some pretty big stuff moored near my humble boat, in the last years.
And that never made me envious at all. Honest, not one iota.

Till today, that is.
Must admit that the explorer ship which just arrived eventually managed to make me envious.
Just a tiny, little, wee bit, you know... :p

And as you would expect, I couldn't miss the opportunity to take a few pics, which I'm going to post soon.
But for the moment, I thought that this alone could make an interesting STB. :)
She's some 200+ feet worth of vessel, just to throw in a small hint...!

First thought was Force Blue, your mate FB's boat. I've been on her for a party, with Bono :-). But it isn't Force Blue. So I guess it must be a Denship but I don't know which one from that pic

Still liking your white paintwork :D

Hole in one.
I just realized that I named the pic after the vessel, you didn't check the pic properties by chance, did you? :D

Force Blue was a good guess btw, same size and builder, though when seen in flesh FB strikes (to my eyes, anyway) for having pushed the wedding cake superstructure way OTT.

Regardless, here's a couple of other shots.
The bigger boat on her port side is an AZ84, just to put the sheer size in perspective.
Worth noticing also the bow, higher than some of the seafront buildings...
...not to mention the mast, which in the last pic looks higher than the whole island!
Which is obviously an effect of the perspective, but quite impressive nonetheless.

M,

nice, no wonder a little envious, I think you are allowed to be just due to the pure class it oozes..

& jfm

nice name dropping. ;)

& our dog is a huge fan of Bono... Oh, actually I think she prefers Bonio ?

She was in Guernsey a few years ago when I lived there. Recognized the crane

interested to see a plan of this vessel, wtf is in the deck in front?
Does she also carry a few containers??

Also the crane is rather big, what tender does she carry? a 50ft f/b planning hull and half a dozen jetskis???

The name rings a bell from a few years back as 'Turmoil' visited my home waters at Savonlinna on the Lake Saimaa. The same boat returned a some years later under the name 'Dione Sky' and a new ownership.

Iirc, the then owner of Turmoil wasn't in good healt so it's unlikely that MapisM's boat is owned by the same person even thought the genre is the same?

I see she caries a couple of Laser sailboats among her tenders. Classy ship:-)

yep, only thing is that she may well be carrying a couple of SQ78s as well JFM :p

TBH I much prefer the previous one that SM posted a pic of. Less of a container ship than this monster
