Another thread here reminded me that I hadn't sorted out photographs from two Olympic events at Dorney. I think it was after the canoeing when we took a river taxi to Windsor. I took some pictures of nice boats. Two questions please:

1. What type of boat is Peppo 2

2. Why is there a Spitfire flying low through the trees?

1.Boat most likely an 80's dutch steel Pedro.
2.Actually a Hurricane designed by Sir Sydney Camm born and lived in Windsor.

In fact on the Windsor side opposite the Broccas which is the Eton side.

1. Thank you.
2. I am ashamed not to recognise it as a Hurricane and did not know Sir Camm was from Windsor. In the 70's, as a kid, I used to play in the pill boxes and gun emplacements left by the '2nd' Hurricane factory at Langley, Slough.
3. Is it a permanent fixture?
