Spirit stove fuel

I am just about to get rid of my LPG cooker and can say goodbye to an on-deck bottle locker.
But the replacement is a spirit stove, Origo style. Does anyone have a source for un-dyed fuel or will I have to use de-natured alcohol meths? I understand in France alcohol brueille (Sp?) is easily available... but living in Scotland means a hop across the ditch to stock up is not feasible.
A pharmacist friend says he can get the undyed spirit alcohol but I need a doctors' line.
Any ideas?

I have a spirit stove in my boat and really like it. When I lived in France I used alcool brulee, now back in UK I use meths. I don't dislike meths as much as most people. There is more smell from meths while cooking but less smell when things have cooled down. As I sleep with my head near the cooker (great for making tea in bed) the smell of the alcool was a problem. To stop this I needed to remember to put a damp tea towel over the cooker at night. This is not required meths.

We also use meths. Some people recommend diluting it with a bit of water to help prevent soot, though we don't bother.

We tried the denatured alcohol from France and threw most of it away as we found the smell to be nauseating.

Meths it is then. I did a google on IMS - Industrial Methylated Spirit - or ethyl alcohol and the regulations are strict. Only available from manufacturers in amounts not less than 200 litres and not to joe public without a chit from the Excise.

Thanks for comments.
