I believe it is poor reporting. The original local report stated that she is the largest wooden sailing yacht built since the 1930s which is probably correct, Mirabella is probably GRP?

Spirit is definitely wood, although admittedly modern high tech construction. Mirabella may be alloy, but that doesn’t affect the original statement.

Both of them have their 'biggest' distinction by hull material and the fact they are single mast sloops.
