Spinnaker Sizing

Already got a cruising chute but thinking of getting a secindhand spinnaker for downwind sailing.

Two questions
1) In plain english what's the sizing .. ie is the luff = forestay length or a bit shorter?
2) I've got a snuffer for the chute & I like it,presume same modus operandi for a spinnaker?

Regarding the snuffer, yes it's the same. I've got both chute and spi in snuffers and they work in the same manner.

Regarding sizing, on a flighty boat like yours, I'd recommend a pocket handkerchief.

Not recommended....the snuffer ' potty' will make it uncomfortable.
