Does anyone have experience of these jammers?

I am updating/upgrading my deck hardware and wish to replace some Main Marine jammers. Space is rather limited and I have found these Spinlock jammers which will fit. The boat is a Mirage 29, masthead rig, 144sqft main and 325sqft genoa, occasional use of a 400sqft cruising chute.

Spinlock's blurb says a max load of 400kg but how do I know what my halyard loads etc are?

What size are your halyard winches? If you have a power ratio of 16:1 (usually this is a size 16 winch) then multiply how hard you pull on the handle by 16. I'd guess you're pulling at 20 to 30 kilo's max (probably less) but you can measure this with a spring scale or by lifting a weight over a single easy-running block to see what feels right. It's only an approximation but then the weight on the jammers will vary with wind strength anyway.
