Speedo not working

Ok only a minor issue as I use my GPS for my guide, But my tacho has stopped working all of a sudden, any simple reasons why? I have taken the panel of and its connected, also noticed that my engine trim indicator is not working at its best (i.e inaccurate on position)

Probably a jammed paddle wheel (weed, fouling, etc). You should be able to remove it for cleaning whilst the boat is in the water (be careful you don't sink the boat though)!

You have a mercruiser onboard IIRC. The trim sendor needs to be calibrated on scheduled services (typically on bellows replacement) This is fairly critical in setting trim limits so you dont stress the UJ. The rev counter takes a signal wire from the coil. Check for earthing issues enroute.

Thanks Guys, I will have a look at this stuff and see what I can do, I may have a look at whilst its on the dry stack before my holiday next week.
