Hi - anyone any experience with this speed senosr / head combination. I did the diagnostic tests outlined on Airmar's FAQ page and found that the head correctly outputs 12v without the sensor connected but this drops to around 0.8v when I connect the sensor.
I checked voltage at the sensor (by cutting the cable) and the behaviour is the same - no sensor 12v / sensor connected 0.8v therefore I know the cable run is ok.
Can the unit fail and produce these symptoms and can it be repaired (or do i need to just bite the bullet and buy a new ST850).
All advice welcome.
