Having not watched a powerboat race from the water since I was a kid, I was wondering if formulites had any advice on spectating etiquette. We used to rock up to one of the marker buoys and watch them race past -sometimes closer than intended but always very exciting. Should be be inside or outside the course? (I would have thought inside!) Is there a minimum (legal) distance now? I have looked on the Cowes-Torquay race website but to no avail. I would never dream of getting in the way and am responsible... hence the post.

I was planning to go up to Hengisbury Head when the course turns for the short lap. Will try to get some decent shots for the forum too!

think we are going to head down to Hurst castle to watch then through the narrows. (worked well for the RB08 start.)

whilst we are fast, not sure we could keep up with most of them!! was out yesterday for a quick blast up southampton and saw Blastoff B100 ( http://www.cowes2010.co.uk/entrants b.htm ) in Southampton water. ohh the noise!!!
