My VP sail drive leg is still painted with the original factory paint and I have bought the same VP can of spray paint to freshen it up. I seem to remember that when you lightly sand the leg and prop. prior to painting, you must use a particular type of paper to avoid a reaction. I may have got it wrong, but something 'oxide' comes to mind.
The leg has never been anti-fouled and I don't intend to do that after painting as it has remained growth free without it in the past.
Your guidance/advice would as usual be appreciated.
