Hi, all.

This is probably the longest shot in history, but my sparlight mast is missing its foot. The foot should moununt in the base and pivot back on an M10 sized bolt. I have the horseshoe shaped base and the mast seems to have some sort of plug at the bottom where the foot should be.

I was wondering if anyone might know who I could contact about getting a replacement foot? I am guessing that sparlight have gone out of business, but there must have been hundreds of the foot cast, so maybe they were taken over or similar? Would anyone carry any NOS spares?

Or perhaps someone might know if a similar foot may fit? The mast is about 27 ft long if that helps!

Thanks for reading my ramblings!

Regards

Carl

You could try googling and contacting the Chandlery Barge at Bursledon. They have lots of obsolete used and unused gear - like an aladdins cave. They are,nt cheap though.

If you find a picture of one or better measure an existing one it will a pretty straight forward project to get one fabricated / welded together with aluminium plate.

Good luck and fair winds. :)

I am afraid it is a bit too big. I think TG has had her mast foot replaced at some stage because it now has a pivot bolt at the back, in a similar fashion to yours. The base tapers to the rear so there really isn't enough 'meat' there to take a bolt. But anyway it looks substantially larger than what you need.

Thanks for your replies everyone!

I will explore these avenues.

Carl

This was the mast foot on my old boat, a Fantasie 19, but it had a Sparlight mast...
