I am about to do a pre-season service on my engines. Can anyone help in sourcing a good supplier for the above. I am led to believe that many parts are from a Volvo car engine.

I also need a reverse pawl which had come loose and bent.

As always many thanks for any help.

Excellent advice there from Scarron, car parts are great and much cheaper eg cambelts . plugs, rotors, points and tensioners.Belts don't fit from cars
be careful with the legs as they are 270 bottoms for anodes and 290 tops
Oil for the legs is engine oil
Keyparts are really good for the marine parts as well as good advice if you call them
I've got the same set up in my Carrera and they are reliable and economical
The best thing I did for easier starting was fitting 6 volt "ballasted" coils and also spray engine all over with ACF 50 from Halfords

The 2300cc Volvo engine was used in the 240 car series circa 1983 / 1993 so german and swedish will do most engine parts
an example of the price differences was the cambelt tensioners were £88 from Keyparts and £22 from german and swedish
