Finally found in a swindlery here in Lanzarote replacement filters for our water filter. Last time we found a stockist was on the S.Coast back in May (that purchase is mysteriously lost somewhere on board) - it's taken us a few thousand miles to get here (Portsmouth to Lanzarote via Oban) including a tow from Spanish SAR so it got me thinking just how far have you had to travel to find a mundane spare part?

Hi to you all too!

Thanks for the offer, so far we've found everything we need on the island as the four or five chandlers seem to between them have fairly comprehensive stocks which is surprising considering all the marinas here are relatively new. But we'll holler if there is something we can't source.

Gutted for you guys Susie (and Kev looks fairly fed up and all!). Sing out if you need anything from the land of sand. Funnily enough I found a True Design dealer for all our skin fittings, seacocks and tails here (and picked up a Fortress FX23 too!). And cheaper than any of the swindleries in Turkey. Not sure if that counts as far as your post goes though (in terms of how far, well....Marmaris (boat) to Dubai (me)? Just got to get it all off the carousel at Dalaman before Mr Customs Agent stops me.

Cheers from me and Janet.

All over the East of Majorca (by hitching and taxis) to get a drive belt for the alternator, phrase book Spanish and it was a bank holiday but we found a garage who had every possible size of drive belt, he was shut but opened up for us. It was a delivery so we were pushed for time.
