Hmmm, did he get lost and go to a different South of France? Ok it rained a bit in the morning but here are SofF pictures from yesterday

Me leaving Antibes berth yesterday 1.30pm
Build up of next weekend's Antibes Yacht Show, 1.35pm
Anchored off Cannes beach, 2.15pm
Approach to Cannes Old Port, 2.15pm
Crane out Cannes 3.30pm

Check out that sky! :-)

I'm going to make a separate post on antifoul, later. My boat had been in a year, and near stationary the last 4 months, and I was amazed how good the antifoul was when I saw her lifted yesterday (see last pic). More later on this

Excuse me if this is a stupid question but why do you get lifted at Cannes and not Antibes ?
Thanks for the pictures of sunny days in the SoF makes me want to book another long weekend asap did two visits to "Nice" last year last one in November now need another one soon.
Ps-got some nice pictures of yer boat when we were there in November. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

No particular reason. I use a "freelance" antifoul guy who has done work on my boats for 5 years and is great guy so I'm loyal to him. Getting spaces in SofF is a bit based on "who you know" and he has v good relationships with Cannes yard and Rodriguez/Golfe Juan yard, so it's just easier for him to get the hardstanding space and crane in those yards. And Cannes is loads cheaper for crane/hardstanding than Rodriguez/Golfe Juan. As you know it's only a 20minute/5nm trip from Antibes to Cannes, so no bother really

Urgh the november pics cant have been great! Boat has had a slow refit over the winter (still ongoing). New carpets, bedlinens, curtains, cabin linings, TVs, full beige sunbrella cloth on fly, etc, so it has had a stream of deliveries, workers, bits missing, etc!

Oh Bu@@er jfm, don't tell me that!!! I was hoping he was having a horrid time!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

His message was sent to me yesterday morning, and it read '......Pissing with rain, cold and very grey!"
I felt good all day yesterday knowing that!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well we just came back from 4 days in Majorca, and it was a bit like standing in front of a fan, the wind was just continous for the whole 4 days, gusting at 68mph at one point. Sun did shine a bit but for the first time ever, we were unable to get out of the Marina.

And it was cold enough on the Saturday to see your breath! Looking at the forecast it still looks unsettled with a few good days between.

Ho Hum roll on May
