As posted recently, on offer at LIBS - Kipor 3000Ti full sine wave petrol, portable and quiet generators going at £499.This is the ont that looks like a Honda copy only 50% more power at half the price. I bought one at the show and it duly arrived, no problem.

Today, I had a second one delivered! The dealer knows, but couldn't believe the courier cockups. He is quite happy for me to offer it to any forumite at the show offer price.

One is pure sine wave and one is modified i.e. not so good with electronics, laptops etc but can't remember which is which!

Think its the Ti (yellow ones) that have the clean sine wave.

Right first of, the Kipor at the London Boatshow were from Marine Promotions as I am their supplier and I work for Kipors Importers. Marine Promotions can be contacted on 07774961116 and asking for Neil Phillips quoting Simon Jones.
Secondly the TI and the TC are different. The TC is Red and the TI is Yellow. More to the point the TI has a True Sine Wave - In English there is no Surge or Spikes so you can run sensitive equipment from it. I had a chap the other day that used a 2 stroke Generator to power his PC and his PC went bang - told him so. They are normally a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Kiporman, somene recently posted that the Honda gennys were actually manufactured by Kippor and rebadged. Is this actually the case and are the two machines basically the same?

No they are not, Honda are made else where - not sure where though. Also check out the National Boat Caravan and leisure show this week at the NEC - you can purchase Kipor there at show prices. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

the Honda website said the EU10I is 52db - so fair play it beats the Kipor 1000TI which is 54db - both are very very quiet.

Isn't it great when you get someone on here with a disclosed interest and yet they are scrupulously honest about other manufacturers abilities. (52/54dB is negligable anyway)
