A quick recommendation for anyone venturing up to the blustery North West...
Now given the expanse of our infamous beaches and the reluctance of the tide to come & say hello (other than the once or twice a year when the Coast Rd floods and the local journos wet themselves with excitement) it may seem a little odd for this forum but in my defence it is on the edge of The Marine Lake
Anyway, just down from the theatre, there's been a new Ramada hotel built overlooking the Marine Lake & the spiffing new road bridge and right next door to that in a largely as yet unoccupied set of retail units is a little hidden gem.
Finos at the Waterfront (Spanish Tapas). Nice, contemporary innards without being up itself and Chorizo to die for! Last time I was in they had a special offer on their Twitter - but as usual Senior Management acts to stop me reeking too much of Garlic & Red wine the next day
