Spanish rules

Ahoy there. I have a question only:

Two years ago the Spanish government stopped British charter boats under 14m operating in Spanish waters as the UK was leaving the EU. Then after the RYA battled the decision they altered the rules to allow existing operators to continue.
Great, but it’s left me unable to continue working here as a skipper. I was working in Spain before Brexit as skipper of a 13m charter boat and I feel the decision should have included employees as well as employers. I hold YM offshore with commercial endorsement for 12 pax, VHF, ENG1 etc.

I've seen several jobs going for skippers in the UK. Any reason that you can't return?

It's been a real pain for the RYA Recognised sailing schools in Gib and on the Costa Del Sol. Business is booming but lack of instructors is hurting. You would get heaps of work with an instructor qualification.

Don't know the reasons but Faro Sailing School, based in Ayamonte (Spain) has packed up, Lorie now owns and runs Ayamar chandlers.

Covid did for several around there. Then came the lack of instructors......

Apply to become a resident or whatever the status is to overcome the 90 day rule.

Nothing to do with the Schengen rules, but the recognition by the Spanish government of UK qualifications for skippering charter boats in their waters.
