Spain to Croatia

I am taking 37ft catamaran from Spain to Croatia probably departing early November. Any general advice would be welcome as would any paper charts or pilot books. Seems to be some pretty good marinas there if anybody has knowledge of them or recommendations would be appreciated.

we were much less ambitious in winter, only Livorno - Nice ...but there are weather sites in Italy that will obviously be of interest, hence the title of my post - poster "metabarca" should be able to point you towards the right websites for decent Italian-area forecasts.

The area is full of weird winds which include (say) f7 from Corsica NE, but only a very narrow stream rather than a "system" as in uk : to either side of a 100m-wide strong wind it can be almost dead calm. So i wd be ready to coast hop a bit from internet caff to internet caff if necessary...
