Lots of chores to do round the house now - spent too long in the summer getting the boat ready.

Not very full is it? What % of the berths have they sold now?
 
Antibes was very nice all weekend too. I was packing up boat stuff into boxes (having sold the boat, I think, so it's a bit like moving house) in a T shirt. Magnum was out both Sat and Sun. Nick, your boat was all fine and sparkly.

Was a bit of a shock stepping off the plane in Luton last night, into this weather!
 
Congrats on almost selling the boat, hope it goes through OK. We had truly fab weather at end of October, 24 degs, calm, sunny, though i've heard its rained a fair bit since?
 
Looks great Mike, plenty of room for berthing practice! Still I guess you and Mary have that totally 'sussed'!

Looked like it last time I watched your good lady drive her out of Swanwick anyway!!!

I stepped off a plane at Norwich last night, from Barcelona, just about froze/got them blown my provebials off, now offsore N.Sea and its even bloody worse!!
 
Not sure how many have been sold but I believe that MDL want to do more annual berthing than most other marinas.

If the webcam were to spin round and look 180 degrees in the other direction you would see a lot more boats. Our side of the marina has the bigger pontoon berths and what seems to be most UK owners - the webcam shot doesn't do it justice although there are still quite a few empty slots. I should think that most of the empty slots have been taken but people seem to be waiting until all the shore side work has been done.

The MDL staff moved into their new offices about 2 weeks ago and I believe that the travel hoist was being assembled last week - so there's still a lot to do.

I believe there will be a party for the Brits in the spring. The Spaniards had theirs in the summer.

Yep - it's and easy peezy berth in comparason with the Hamble. We actually have a finger berth but as you can see she is on the end until they expand the marina with their phase 2. But at the moment I have masses of space to get her in. Even leaves space to get the dinghy down without having to move the boat.
 
Actually Nick, I'm less worried about her that whe she was in Torquay.

You can see the sea wall at the edge of the marina - that's in fact the lagoon beyond so there's masses of protection from the elements.

Boats passing through to the inner part of the marina have loads of water to keep clear so, again, I feel much happier - in Torquay, she was right next to the pleasure boat steps where accidents could happen.

It's a bit of a novelty to see one spare pontoon space in the W Med, let alone dozens /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Give it a couple of years and I expect it'll be chokka like all the others
 
Last I heard they are well on their way with over 50% of the berths allocated in one way or another - MDL also have a stand at Barcelona. I am on the other side of the marina to JW with Spanish and Brits close by, still plenty of room there but I believe a lot of the free space will be absorbed when the current pontoons are extended, both sides - well thats if the marina map I have is anything to go by. I am on the end of 'N' and there are O, P and Q yet to go in. I am still missing Torquay, but not the English weather.....
