Space Age Technolgies 1980\'s Echosounder

Hi Everyone
Have one of these elderly echosounders in my Moody 27. problem is it is on its last legs and may die shortly. Unfortunately because of the large hole that was cut in my cockpit to fit instrument there is not a lot else I can put in its place. Does anyone know if I can replace it with a new instrument on the same principle that I can continue to use as a back-up. It is the one that uses the red neon light that flies round a circle indicating depth. I think NASA make a similarish instrument but would this still enable me to use my original transducer which seems OK?
Any help/advice appreciated

Thanks

Yes you can buy a replacement and most of the transducers work the same way try cruisermart they stock a couple of rotating LED sounders from about £70.00.
Happy shopping.
