Hi, my Freeman 33 has a Sowester toilet. I don't see any markings on it, just Sowester and Royal Doulton. I'm guessing they made the bowl.
Anyway I'm looking for a service kit for it to rebuilt the leaky pump. Any one know where I can get this?

Thanks

You will find that the key to knowing what type you have will be partly down to the type of pump and handle it has, I am sure a pic of the bowl and pump will have someone informing you of the type, Raritan are also one you could check on, as they were sent over from usa, and were fitted with bowls made in the uk, big save on shipping costs.

lee sanitation website is the place to find a repair kit, once you have tracked down which type of loo it is.

From memory it is an RM pump. Gave up trying to find spares for mine so ditched it. A new Jabsco is less than £100 and will fit straight in for pipework, but the mounting bolt spacings are different. Would not mess about with the old one. The Jabsco is a much better loo and spares widely available.

It looks very like the Raritan PHII or PHC. It has a horizontal pump handle made from Aluminium with a white plastic handle. There is a rotary valve below the handle but it doesn't look like the Raritan one. It seems to turn off the water supply.
I'll have a closer look tomorrow when I'm at the boat.

Thanks!

Hi Colvic987, you were correct. It has a Raritan Engineering pump and base. I just need to identify he correct unit now. Thanks.

good to hear you have been able to find the correct pump, the site I posted should give you a list of discontinued manuals for identification, and lee sanitation should be able to supply you the parts, unfortunately repair set is not cheap, £60-70 ...

It looks like a service kit for a Raritan PHII is around £70. I'd say I could get a basic Jabsco toilet brand new for another £50 or £60. I think I'll leave it for now and fit a replacement over the winter.

As Tranona wrote, you can get a new Jabsco complete for £100. I bought one the other week...for spares (from Force4, fwiw).
