Ahoy shipmates.

So I’ve decided to bring my yacht back from the south of France due to the impending B. issues.

Plan is to have it trucked back to Southampton area and I need a good, cheap yard that I can offload to so I can do some maintenance. Looking for a recommendation for a smaller yard with a crane/hoist that can offload from transport and then launch a month or so later.

She’s a 39 footer so won’t go past the bridges!

I thought about going directly to one of the bigger marinas, but would rather spend my cash with a smaller, local outfit if possible.

Any recommendations?

Chris Haddock at Gosport Boatyard or Richard at the Hayling Yacht Company.

Sensible prices, all services available should they be needed.

I use HYC, they use a Roodburg hydrauic trailer which suits our boat fine. They often unload from truck/trailers.

Wicormarine in Portsmouth Harbour possibly. But if you're deep draught you have to be a bit choosy about tides for launching.

Thanks guys - industrial is no problem, I only need it for a few weeks to do some maintenance so not looking for scenery!

Will have a ring around on Monday and see what availability is like.
