If you're sightseeing in the Solent, QE2 and QM2 are due in on Saturday. As the visitors' gallery is closed, the only place to see them is (from a prescribed distance) on the water.

Apropos to nothing, the QM2 had to make an emergency call into St. John's Tues night to enable an ill passenger to be offloaded (WX to bad for helo transfer). Unfortunately she'd too big to fit through the narrows and it was 10pm at night so we didn't get to see her.

Pity, she's quite nice looking for such a large ship. Speaking of large ships, Arcadia is sailing today, she wouldn't need to get into the harbour for you to see her from the shore!

Well I reckon I'll have one of the best views of QE2 from my stateroom on deck 11 on QM2 as we leave Mayflower at 17.00 and pass QE2 on her dock on the way to out.

I'm keeping an eye on AIS live to see the Queen's coming up the channel tonight.
