Im keen to take the boat out tomorrow for a run as i finally got her running, i used to launch in St denys but am a bit worried about leaving my truck down there these days.

My choice of slipways would be;

Woolston, but how is it with a low tide.

Under the itchen bridge, floating bridge side, can you launch from there, is it free (not that i mind paying) how is that for low tide?

Oposite side to the old floating bridge (town side) big slipway) how is that one?

I see you did not get a reply and it may be too late now.

This is probably not the best forum for boat launch site questions the forum on www.rib.net would be better.

Anyway I have used Crosshouse, the one under the Itchen Bridge. The slip is free but you have to pay to park. It is OK at low tide but be careful. It is probably the best slip in Southampton, I would not use any other ones.

Have you used this website? http://www.boatlaunch.co.uk/

I will take a look at those websites, the slipway you mention was one i used but only for retrieval due to being given a tow back:eek: I must admit it will be the one i use in future, only downside i saw was turning the truck and trailor around to reverse down:rolleyes:
