You could try some B and B's outside of Southampton. I happen to live in Brockenhurst in the New Forest which is about 15 mins by train from the show, very quiet and tranquil after a hard day bashing the wallet. Foresters pub great for food and pain killing drinks!

And no I'm not a B and B owner!

Separate question about the show. I took a look at their site, and while I admit I didn't hang around it too long I couldn't find a list of the boats that are being exhibited this year. Does such a thing exist or am I going to have to talk to lots of brokerage offices?

The Grapes, Oxford Street does B&B for £45 a night and I'd recommend it as a pub, but I've never seen the inside of their rooms. Yet.
