In my spare time, I am the Chairman of the Southampton Unit of the Sea Cadet Corps. We are fortunate enough to have a stand each year at the Southampton Boat Show, courtesy of National Boat Shows, and we take the opportunity to hold a raffle to raise funds (we are a registered charity and need to raise about £13,000 per annum to operate). This year we are on stand K35 in the Solent Hall. Please come a visit us and, if you have any money left, buy a raffle ticket or several (£1 each).
Prizes this year include the latest McMurdo Fastfind PLB, a £500 voucher for sail laundering from Novosail, a lift out, pressure wash and relaunch from MDL and a day's sailing for six people with Commodore Yachting. There are plenty of minor prizes as well.
