Whilst not wishing away the Summer I thought I would post up a quick note about the annual Dinner held during the Southampton Boat show at the Grand Café.

This is billed as the Sealine owners club dinner but for a number of years now people like us have been allowed in with no connection to Sealine. In truth it is really the Motor Boat Dinner rather than a Sealine Specific event. It's a great evening, there are always a few faces you recognise from out and about. Food is excellent, a couple of drinks when you arrive, the bar never runs out, staff are good fun, dancing into the night for those with the energy .

We are going to be there and I wondered if any other people fancied going for a posh beer, natter and bite to eat.

£45 per head including meal, drink on arrival etc.

Either book directly via the flyer attached or let's organise a table or two. It also happens to coincide with my birthday week celebrations :)

Thanks H. Not sure which day I will be going, but will keep this in mind. Will us with foreign boats be welcome? :)

Yes, every boater is welcome. As Henry says the core is the Sealine Owners Club but anyone with a boat that enjoys a p i s s up is welcome. We usually have a lot of good raffle prizes and raise a lot of dosh for charity too.

Oh god, is Henry do I g the raffle?

I've only just recovered financially from the raffle after the bike ride, swmbo has made it clear that if the cleats I bid on last time are not installed on the boat she will install them in me!

Better empty my coin jar ?

By cleats do you mean sculptural artwork which has appreciated several fold since purchase?

Henry :)

I think we're going as i recall in the distant past stopping by Clueless and booking us in earlier in the summer around the same weekend as he used the kayak he 'won' at the RYSC bash to haul a fella out the waer that had gone for a swim (inadvertently)... better get in touch with Jon to confirm absolute
