South of France 2017

Due to the photobucket issue I have done this trip report using Blogspot to see how that works out.

It is my first attempt at this and the first thing I have noticed is that as I have had to spread the report over two 'posts' the first one appears at the bottom and the second at the top so to read it in order you have to scroll down to the first post. This arose because there seems to be a limit as to how big a post can be.
Suggestions for future improvements or alternative means welcome.
Anyway....enjoy.

Very nice! I recognized a few places

Winds hit and miss over there .Recognised a few places too .
Did you get to Poquerolle , Port Cros ,Lavandou or Cavalaire
Last time we went to Hayres ,tied up on the fuel pontoon to fill up and looking at the yellow water hose asked if I could fill up with water too .( middle of August + fires in the hills too )
Bloke said no -- detect a bit of anti - Brit in his voice .
As the diesel pump was running slowly 1/2 hr another French bloke turned up and began to wash his car as we watched the running hose just dropped in the floor between sponging .

Cavalaire has a wide public launch ramp .

We covered all those places between this year and last years trip.
Cavalaire does have a good ramp that is free, but supposedly restricted to 7m max boat length. though this does not seem to be controlled from what we have seen over the years.
The trailer parking which used to be very good seems more restricted these days, though I have found one gardiennage that will look after the trailer for you no too far away (within 1km).
We want to start in the Golfe de ST Tropez if we can next year though.

Looks like a great trip. We spent a night off PorkRolls, wish we had spent longer in that area.
I don't think I could be bothered with trailers, ferries and cranes though. Surely much cheaper and easier to charter something?

Easier maybe but cheaper not.
Similar boat to ours would have been at least £4000 for the two weeks we went in September.
Getting ours there and on the water and back was under £1500 I think.
Approx breakdown:
Ferry (Poole / Cherbourg) £600
Tools £300
Fuel in car £400
Launching and recovery £200

very nice report thaks for posting,
we have spend quite some time in that region,
first with our traile-able 28ft boat, and later with our 75ft boat,

actually our homeberth with Blue Angel was in Toulon town for 2 years,
and I have to admid that we never visited La seyne sur mer, looks very nice from the pics,

I can thouroughly recommand Sanary sur mer and Cassis (our favourites)
and les qualanques towards Marseille...

Ok towards St Tropez and Cote d'azur, ofcause many popular places to visit,

good going with the traileable boat, we have many good memory's at that !!!
