Lost a batten from my fully battened mainsail in a breezy run back from Kilmore Quay last week. Anyone know where I can get a round fibreglass batten, 10mm diameter, 2.3m long or more (I can cut to fit)

Just a guess, but the sail maker that made the sail (any other sailmaker for that matter) might be able to supply a replacement.

Try Kayospruce or PointNorth or maybe bainbridge.
First two are good places for canvas and sailmaking supplies.
Hope that helps.

For a temporary repair you can make your own.

Go to a nice old timber merchant and get him to plane you one up using softwood.

I have a fully battened mainsail and all my battens are like this. Might help if you take one of the existing ones as a guide.
