If anyone had ever come across these, preferably in UK I would be most grateful for the link. Readily available in US but not seemingly metric. Many thanks.

Thanks for the all suggestions. As mentioned , googling" bronze machine screws uk" does bring up loads of suppliers but it's the metric bit which is the stumbling block. Also loads available in USA, thread is again the problem, guess it's a cultural thing?!

One of the first Google results is this company in Surrey - they'll make whatever you want.

Hi, what I'm trying to get are machine screws to fit into the female part of an inter screw , which I already have, and fasten all the bronze portlights , eight in total. The easiest solution would be to just use stainless, readily obtainable in Uk, but I' rather not mix the metals ,stainless fastenings for bronze frames, and also bronze woul look a lot better. Or maybe ordinary brass would be good enough for above deck? Thanks for your interest. Any thoughts appreciated.

Well, as you say, bronze would look better.

I'm sure there are plenty of machine shops who could do it.

It's a case of how much are you prepared to pay?

How many screws involved in 8 portlights (assuming that I've interpreted correctly) - 50/60?

You could try:

who are of the old school - very helpful and reasonably priced

PS: My first thought was Anglia Stainless - I'd be surprised if they couldn't do them as a special.
