I know this is a bit cheeky, but has anyone got any sound insulation offcuts which they don't need? I have to redo the sound insulation for the inboard engine on the boat as it's in the children's cabin and it's a wee bit noisy, but popped into a chandlery today and nearly died when I saw they wanted £30 for a sheet 1m by 0.6m. So, if you have any offcuts and you live on the south coast (Southampton and surrounding area) I would love to hear from you.

Thanks

Christine

Try Yachtparts in Plymouth. I just bought three sheets of sound insulating material approx 7 foot by 4 foot for £50 a sheet which is a lot cheaper than the well known price. Its good stuff - fire proof and with a white canvas type face, two layers of foam and a heavy sound deadening mat in between. I think the sheets are ex Marine Projects.
