With all the anchor talk...
My maths may well be out here-
A 10kg wieght is attached to bracket with a 10m long bit of steel wire rope
It falls 10m, in 1.42 seconds at 10m it's going at 14m/s
The steel wire rope stops in in 0.1 sec over 0.7m
Decel is 140m/s^2 so the force is 1400n or near enough 140kg in ordinary language.
So will the bracket behave any differently than if the same force was applied more slowly?
So will an anchor behave different in a similar situation? Gut feeling is it will behave better as there is less time for the mud or whatever around it to break down.
but dunno. Not that you would ever get a situation in real life to check it.
