Lost pretty much all my work with computer virus but this was all that i recovered. Pissed off really losing 5000 pics of my son growing up!

Sorry to hear about your Virus. Not sure how good you are with computers, I'm useless, but we had files recovered by a guy who works on computers for the police. We were told by others that they were lost forever. There should be someone near you who can recover them. Not sure what they will charge though. Good Luck.

Thanks, hard disk is getting dropped back today so i will research 'fixing' people. My friend that tried to fix it has a degree in fixing pcs so i'm not sure it is fixable.

Highlight the importance of backups, you can get cheap external drives these days and good AV software isn't expensive either. Damn shame though as we all seem to store our lives electronically these days and photo's are so important.

Hi Neil.....It is completly dead now...real shame losing all of 5 yrs stuff. If you guys on here pm me your e-mail addresses i can at least get my address book back on line.
