fully agree, I'd only change Bath where I lived for something like the highlands, there's something special there. My point was obviously the weather and the rain in particular that I'm not fond of.

actually weather according to XC weather is looking better all the time...!:)
 
Cant beleive how lucky we have been , only had the boat5 weeks and been out loads , even swimming in sea :eek: . I intend to be out fri , sat and sunday before we book a lift out for a couple of jobs , fridge is rammed with peroni if anyone sees us about :D

Weather just superb. Good trip over to cowes, lots of boats out. Now tucked up in island harbour. Just had a really good meal at the breeze restaurant, only downside was having to watch x factor... ( at the boat... not in Breeze!)

I guess by the looks of it others at the folly. Are u still there? bit chilly for us as heating only works with engine running... glade to be plugged in with fan heater... back to mercury tomorrow.. perhaps catch up with Steve & thanks mum then?

just went down to Hamble point to check some work done on the boat and and southampton water looked like glass!!!

I am glad that the season is ending well you everyone with a boat on the water. We seem to have had a fairly poor summer in Northern Europe with some fantastic weather weekends both before and after the main season. Last year my career councellor said that of all the years to get "shaf**ed" that was the best one (as pay rises and bonuses were so modest) and it seems that this year is the 'best' one to have been without a boat. Roll on next Spring!
 
oh well, ended up doing maintenance on the boat but looking at the fun everyone's had and the glorious conditions now, wish I'd waited and joined in...
