The 'crap' referred to was the postings about big ears etc. The help and advice you all give is fantastic. I should have made this clear. Also, not new to Forum - I used to have the user name Macspinners, but had a few computer problems and had to re-register. Don't ask...it's a long story!!!

Re: what is the point of my posting about fuel prices - well, I wa simply trying to back up Learner in so much as trying to think of something to lobby parliament with!!! There is NO WAY that I would want them to raise the price of diesel, just provide a level playing field. And, no, we are still perfectly happy with the boat - as I pointed out previously, it would have cost 10-15k more with diesel engines - no second thoughts really. Finally, boating is listed LAST on my list of interests for the simple reason that it is new - the other hobbies have been going a very long time. Time will tell if it rises to the top of the list!!

The problem is that all that would happen is that our glorious rulers would never bring Petrol down, they would just take the cost of deisel up. This may well happen in 2006 anyway as that is the next time it is up for review as laid down by our masters in Brussels.
