Sorrento - any boating advice?

I have been given the gift of a 4 day trip to Sorrento in Italy later this month. Obviously I would like to do some boating when I am there, be it renting a 20 footer or going on a tour boat. Can any one offer any advice on how to get on the water in that area?

I remember hiring a pedalo Spent the rest of the time happily doing Roman remains.

Take the ferry to Capri, then get ripped off on a boat trip to the Blue Grotto.

Ferries run to Capri, Naples etc from Sorrento so that is easy. if you are staying in the Excelsior Vittoria ( and consequently flush with cash) the owner is a boating man and they have a Tornado 38 and possibly others for rent with/ without skipper.
