I use them when belaying whilst climbing and they are great! Can see upwards whilst looking directly ahead.

according to St Tom of C, looking constantly at the windex is a capital sin punishable with a failure of the YM exam (if he has the stick by the handle),
you should develop other wind sensing abilities.

Same here but only 'cos the windex blew off in high winds and I need to drop the mast to put it back on!
