I just bought a 20" Sony LCD 20S2020 that has an internal digi receiver. I did some testing on the boat earlier using a conventional (Handan) digi-box. Handan was able to produce picture even from a very weak signal, so now my concern is whether the internal receiver of the Sony can do the same.

A bit late to worry since I've already bought the TV, I know.

Does anybody have experience on how the sensitivity of an internal digi-receiver compares to ordinary tabletop digi-boxes? Has anybody used digi-tv's succesfully on a boat?

We have just uprgarde from sepeate TV and Digi box to AVTEX combined DVD/Freeview TV.
Picture quailty iin Brighton is poor in anything less than approaching high Water levels.
This does seem more stable at mid tide and does not drift as much as the digi box and picture quality at high water is impressive from freeview signal

Have the same TV on the boat and works fine. Really depends on the quality of the signal of course. We do get some break up occasionally depending on weather and tide height of course but only lasts a few seconds.
