Slightly boaty related - but the wealth of knowledge on here may help me!
Just inherited a Sony Handycam with a waterproof housing. Got all the kit with it and just got a 12v battery charger for it off ebay for under a tenner - looking good so far.
The only fault with the camera is that it has a touch screen for all the functions, and the screen seems faulty (when you touch it anywhere it selects the button farthest on the right - not much help as this is fast forward most of the time!!)
Had a quick search on ebay but can't find any screens to be had - any one know whether the screen can be repaired/replaced cheaply (model is DCR-PC5E)??
Thanks
Jonny
p.s. boat relation is that it has a waterproof housing and will therefore (hopefully) be trying to get some good footage of sailing this summer! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
