Went down to Holyhead Marina to see if SV had arrived yet from the emerald isle - and being the biggest boat here, there he was.

In Holyhead they also laid on a French Market, live band and roman actors for Mick and June, and their 800 crew, which was nice...

We are hoping to get this through the menai straight on Friday, with Kawasaki at the helm it should be no problem....

Re: Son Vida 2 Finaly Arrives in Holyhead

well I am, this was done during my coffee break - I ran out of coffee so had to go and get some, and passed Holyhead Marina whilst doing so. The photo was uploaded whilst researching the best way to make pancakes, so to the outside world it was all seamless.

Anyway what you doing on the forum ;-)

Yep, that looks like them, I can see Mrs SV at the helm, while Mick pours over the Swellies instructions yet again.

Don't worry Mick, you'll have at least twelve inches to spare under the keel and two foot either side.

Remember to pull your wing mirrors in, as the trees will take them off.

Err Umm? ang on a Mo. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
My last communique with S aid V essel She had not long previously "wheelied "over the Bar leaving Malahide to Stern with the Bow pointing towards Douglas ish.
Message timed at 12.55 hours.
ETA , Rendezvous with drewstwos , of Three Legged Land , Circa 16.00 Hours.

Friday through the Straits?
Cripes ,have to get The Chart out.

It's a bit old.
Had to crayon in the Bridges!
No good , don't be at it telling Me SV has a leccy plotter whatsit, beyond Me those gadgets.
Nope the scroll will have to do.
Well it's just back up really, the rocks won't have moved much.
Since the last time I hit em.
There's a black and yellow pole thinghy, somewhere in the middle.
It looks like a Subs periscope sometimes when there's lots of water about.

It's a handy piece of kit that one , cos it's eays to aim at.
Reckon the the Makers should stick similar Periscopes on all the rocks.
Then I could clout them more often and reduce their height a little.
Raggies with lots of sticky down bits underneath would thank Me for that.
Ooh! I wonder how much S aid V essel sticks down underneath?

More to the point, where is She? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
She must be a bit quick, Ireland, Isle of Man, Holyhead, Menai Straits in no time at all!
Phew could make a belting wash bouncing of the banks of the Menai back and forth.
Better stick a Post/ Warning ont he Raggie Forai.
"Keep Clear, No Entry, Menai Straits, next 48 hours, S aid V essel , restricted in Her ability to Manouver and Not under Command" With a Mad Mick and a Daft Taff sharing the Helm"! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi dave

Its there on my view, unless its a permission thing. Perhaps I am the only one that can see it! Your not using a PDA by any chance?

Mick is on target to arrive at Holyhead Friday morning, and we hope to do a loop around Anglesey via the Menai, so should be fun!

SV came to Port St Mary at 15.30. Just had a quick chat on the radio first and as they did a slow 360 turn, politly letting a very slow raggie motor out of the harbour. Then they bumbled out again and within a very few minutes were vanishing off towards Langness leaving a long wake behind them on their way to Douglas. Mixk said the crossing was fine until the last hour when it got a bit bumpy.... no doubt there will be a great report of the trip in his usual impecable manner. I assumed that he would be blasting past me without stopping, so I left the camera at home...Darn.....
That boat goes like..........well it does.

Drew.

Hi all, I can happily report Mr & Mrs SV have just been dropped back to SV11 berthed up in Douglas after a sumptuous meal at Laxey (thanks Mick, about fit to burst!). Crossing by all reports was a bit lumpy and they took quite a bit of weather mid way but SV11 just shrugged it off and they made good progress. Only hicup was no pontoons inside the marina to fit them on so they are alongside the Harbour board's big work boat thing along the King Edward pier but at least it nice and sheltered unike the visitors toon which is rocking and rolling on the outer break water.

Son Vida II made a spectacular sight rounding Douglas Head as she powered her way through the swell, if I say so myself fairline P50 is a very capable machine in those conditions didn't bother her an inch, been on many a 40-50 flybridge and I'd say in the rough stuff she is one of the best, hats off to Fairline, excellent boat.

They are planning to set off tomorrow morning around 10.00 but may delay a little subject to weather.

Tried to get in touch.
It's now obvious that Peeps were getting stuffed under the "Old Lady".
If this Notice is read.
Departure from That Isle to this would be best done ASAP this Day.
Due to Tides and stuff.
And all that there.
By ere!
