SOLVE THE RIDDLE

There is NO trick, only logic

In a street there are 5 houses, each a different colour.
A person of different nationality occupies each house. The 5 owners all drink different drinks, all smoke different cigarettes and all have different animals as pets.
Nobody has the same animal, smokes the same cigarettes or drinks the same drink.

The question is: WHO OWNS THE FISH?

Hints

§ The Brit lives in the red house.
§ The Swede owns a dog.
§ The Dane drinks tea.
§ The green house is left of the white house.
§ The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
§ The owner who smokes Pall Mall has a bird as a pet.
§ The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
§ The person that lives in the middle house drinks milk.
§ The Norwegian lives in the first house.
§ The person that smokes Chesterfields lives next door to the person that has a cat.
§ The owner of the horse lives next to the person that smokes Dunhill.
§ The person that smokes Royals also drinks beer.
§ The German Smokes Camels.
§ The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
§ The person that smokes Chesterfields has a neighbour that drinks water.

You sir are a complete and utter **********

I've just wasted an hour of my life.....seeing a challenge like that, I just have to take it.

The German

(assuming that the fifth animal is a fish as it is not specified anywhere in the puzzle, in which case the answer is none of them, the fish is not an animal! grrrrr!)

Brendan, Its nice to see that you described me in the same tones as I described the person that sent it to me!
It took me an hour to solve it to, but be joyous, because it was Einstein that thought of it back in the early 20th century and he reckoned that only 2% of the worlds population could solve it? So be glad your in the top 2%,,, the top 2% of what I have no idea,,,but your there<s>
