Someone's going to have to have a word...

I have just seen a Birchwood TS37, largish Hardy and an Aquador come through the pool on the incoming tide ALL with their fenders out....

I have a considerable sum of money invested in my fenders, I am very proud of them and display them at every opportunity.

Sheesh these minimalists.

Besides which, I have no side decks and SWMBO refuses to climb through the windscreen when under way. Not even for a kitkat.

Fenders in or out

Whats with all this taking in the fenders stuff anyway ??
OK at sea and longer trips - but on the river ? between locks ? can't be ar5ed !

Who cares

It was probably my Aquador that caused you offence by sporting her fenders … Just to explain I had just dropped a crew member off at Greenland Pier in very choppy conditions and the integrity of my gel coat comes way before any “Admiralty inspection”

Not safe anywhere!

I have to agree it was quite lumpy out there towards the top of the tide but you cant beat the pool of London, top of the tide, in the sun and full of traffic, gorgeous site

I was on the embankment on my usual lunchtime walk, somewhat different to tonight's evening run where as per usual some nutter has gone in at Richmond in the hot weather, drunk (the words of his mates) and three lifeboat chaps out looking for him...

Not sure if he had got out and done a runner or, well dont want to think about the other..
