Hi All
A while since I have been here and posted due to personal circumstances. Here's hoping for good weather and a real boating season.
Sadly I have just been told this week that John who owned the boat Meta B moored at Tom Jones Moorings with us has passed away following a battle against cancer last year.
Having lost my mother on January 19th after her own long battle my heart and thoughts are with John and his family and friends at this time.
John loved the river and his boat Meta B named after his daughter. Meta B for those who will remember her was a Bounty white with a blue hood and stripe and a Danish Flag.
John spent most of his days since retirment sitting on the boat or taking short trips often with another friend Roy from our mooring. He was always looking out for our boat if we weren't around and we have shared many a cup of tea and more than a few beers and wines together. Happy memories of a lovely and kind man. He was as stubborn as a mule in the best of ways and remained at home independant until only 3 days before he died. He will be missed by all of us at the mooring terribly.
So when Tristan is back in the water my first trip will be in his memory as will my first glass of wine.
