Here are a rather motley set of photos of a few slightly 'different' motor boats here :
The first is a 'stretched' Princess 38 - they also appear to have lowered the freeboard in way of the cockpit, I presume to make it easier to land big fish. I think she looks much better like this, when compared to how she was before.
The next two are of a Buddy Davis sportsfisherman from the USA - her current owner also stretched her a few years ago by 3' and carried out a major re-fit at the same time, including two new MAN 800 hp diesels to replace the old GM's, and new shafts , struts and props as well.
How do you like that flare on the bow?
Here is a steel power cat that was built in Trinidad recently by a pal of mine - he intends to use her commercially for day charters, taking up to 150 passengers on drinks / lunch cruises and private parties. Although realistically I think they will stick to a maximum of perhaps 80 or so.
And yes, he has got lifejackets for all the passengers on board......
